Who We Are
Owners David and Carol Musgrave have always had a love of the outdoors and dreamed of the day where they could own their own property. In 2004, they took the first step and purchased the initial 40 acres.
Fast forward to today, and the 4 Queens Sanctuary spans 155 acres in Hardin County, Illinois. Located in the middle of the Shawnee National Forest, the 4 Queens Sanctuary is a place where time stands still and memories last forever.
The focus is building and establishing a bee apiary in the heart of the Shawnee National Forest. A farm focused on sustainable bee keeping practices.
Named With Intention
David named the farm as a tribute to his wife and 3 daughters and the thought that this would be a place for friends and family to seek refuge or quiet away from normal day to day stressors. The farm provides an outlet for people to enjoy the outdoors whether it is hiking, walking, enjoying wildlife or just relaxing. The farm certainly does not disappoint as many who have visited always reflect fondly of the time spent
